System requirements
Chronos is a flexible tool that works on a range of
platforms.
Chronos runs on personal computers with the following
minimum specification.
Hardware
Personal computer with at least Pentium 90 MHz
processor, 32MB RAM, 10MB free disk space, 16 bit sound card,
800x600 pixel display (16 bit colour).
Internet version: 56k modem or higher bandwidth connection to the
Internet.
CD version: 8x CD-ROM drive.
Software
Operating system: Microsoft Windows version 95,
98, 2000, NT or XP.
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5, 5.5, 6 or
7.
Please note that Chronos does not run on
Macintosh computers or in the Firefox browser.
Audio/video: Windows Media Player (some
users may experience difficulty with Windows Media Player 9 due to
a security patch applied by Microsoft - please contact us in this
case).
The following ActiveX controls should be enabled on the client
machine:
- Macromedia Shockwave Flash ActiveX control version 4 or
higher
- Windows Media Player ActiveX control (pre-installed with
Internet Explorer version 5 and above)
Please note! If the text in Chronos
appears too large on your machine you may have a non-standard
display setting. This can be changed as follows. Go to your
desktop. Right click in the middle of the blank space on your
desktop. Left click "Properties". Left click "Settings". Left click
"Advanced". The "General" tab should be opened. If you are in
Windows 2000 or earlier, change "Font Size" to "Small Fonts". In
Windows XP change "DPI settings" to "Normal size".
